Polyisobutylene Additive

Polyisobutylene Additive is a concentrate of high molecular weight Polyisobutylene tackifier in polyolefin and additives. It is used as a cling agent to make stretch wrap films from LLDPE or LDPE. It is a dry and free flowing granules.

Specific Gravity : 0.910 ~ 0.920 gms/cm³

Usage & Recommended Addition Rates :

Polymers addition with our Polyisobutylene Additive must be not contain any slip or anti-block additives because of any slip property will be prevent the migration of the PIB property on the stretch film.

For best performance of stretch film should be not consume within the migration period it will be take 72 hours after production.

  • For monolayer blown film 6% to 8% Polyisobutylene Additive by weight should be added to polymers.
  • For multilayer Blown film Polyisobutylene Additive usually added to the skin layer only, and addition rate depends on which layer is used and the layer thickness.
  • For monolayer cast film 2 to 4% Polyisobutylene Additive by weight should be added.
  • For multilayer Cast film Polyisobutylene Additive usually added to the skin layer only, and addition rate depends on which layer is used and the layer thicknes.

Packing and Storage:

Polyisobutylene Additive (PIB MB) is available in 25 kg paper laminated moisture proof PP/HDPE woven sack bag on 600 kg stretch film-wrapped pallets. Store in cool place (less than 39°C) out of direct sunlight and not under heavy loads. Shelf life is 01 year minimum.
